If you were hoping for an epic confrontation between Leia and Snoke, perhaps something where Leia bursts into the room while Kylo Ren and Snoke are arguing and Kylo Ren whines "Mooooooooom!", you're going to be very disappointed by this news. One might have thought with the way Leia talked about Snoke in The Force Awakens that there could potentially have been a showdown between the two characters in The Last Jedi, but no such luck according to Andy Serkis.
While attending the UK premiere of Goodbye Christopher Robin the other night, The List caught up with Serkis and asked if he had gotten the chance to work with Carrie Fisher before her death late last year. Serkis proceeded to say some very lovely things about the late actress, but in the process broke the hearts of fans hoping for a face-off between their Star Wars characters...
"I had no scenes with Carrie but I did get to know her a little bit. She was an incredible human being with a wonderful personality and she's sadly, sadly missed and everyone who came into contact with her was really touched by her great energy and great sense of humour. She is a wonderful person and I did have a great time working with the cast and Adam Driver and Domhnall Gleeson, we've had some really great times on it."
So there you have it, sadly there won't be a chance for Leia to let Snoke have it and embarrass her son in front of his cool older friend. Oh well, sounds like no one was interested in making the Star Wars movie I want to see.
