Olivia Wilde’s Second Directorial Attempt Has a Bidding War

Olivia Wilde is behind another movie called "PERFECT", that has been involved in a bidding war.

The rumor is that Searchlight Pictures is the frontrunner on the world rights of the movie and I am sure they are paying A LOT for it.

The story is about American gymnast Kerri Strug and is based upon her memoir called "Landing On My Feet, A Diary of Dreams.”

The film follows at the 1996 Olympics, when the 18-year-old Strug executed her routine on a severely injured ankle to help the gymnastics team to its first gold medal. I wonder if Larry Nassar helped mend that ankle.

I have zero interest in this movie, but it will be Olivia Wilde's second attempt at directing, her first attempt was Booksmart, the spin off of Superbad, following Jonah Hill's sister's graduating class on one last Hoorah. I saw the movie, it wasn't the worst.

It's safe to say you are in a good place to negotiate when you have a babe like Olivia Wilde helming the project. People in power will listen. Not only does she have star power, but she has a lot of hype as a director from Booksmart and it is an era where all the production companies are looking for female talent to direct projects so they stop getting called sexist. I think that's called the perfect storm and I know that there's no one I'd rather be directed by than Olivia Wilde, as long as her direction involved waiting for her in the bed while she gets on something a little more comfortable. If you know what I mean.
