Ubisoft has one of the most intriguing action game lineups of all the publishers out there, so when the company makes a move like delaying Far Cry 3 from September to December 4 of this year it has to be for a positive (as in not panicky) reason. The fact that Far Cry 3 looked 100% in shape at E3 and that Assassin's Creed III's release is still scheduled for October 30 tells me that this is more an attempt to have two strong games launching in the fourth quarter (Oct-Dec) rather than spreading them out over the third (Jul-Sept) and fourth quarters.
There are people making zillions of dollars to tell you whether this is a sign of strength or weakness and these financial analysts will also be happy to ruin the global economy for you too. The good news for most of you though, is that you'll have a month to finish AC3 and save your money before it'll be time to make a purchasing decision on Far Cry 3.
